⚠️ What costs you money if you miss it

A home lease lasts 3 years by law, even if the contract says less. The tenant can stay for the full three years as long as they meet their obligations.
Owner: declare the lease to AADE by the end of the month after it starts. Late filing brings automatic penalties. Tenant: you must accept it online — staying silent for 30 days counts as acceptance.
Rental income has its own scale — 15% up to €12,000, then 25%, 35% and 45%. Co-owners each get their own bands, so splitting ownership can lower the total.
